What does CarePlus Scotland do?

CarePlus Scotland supports independence for the elderly and ability challenged people via Respite Care, Home Care services or Community Support across the Fife area and surrounding areas in Scotland.

CarePlus Scotland is currently at the forefront of reducing and preventing hospital admissions through various conditions and rehabilitation for patients who have suffered from stroke or other chronic illnesses, such a Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer, Dementia, Parkinsonism etc.

We are also Specialists in socially supporting people with physical and mental challenges in care and provide full follow up enabling independent living and supporting services to enable and active, valued and fullfilling life.

CarePlus Scotland is fully insured & registered by the Scottish Care Inspectorate.  Access to our services can be available either through the Direct Payment Scheme or privately.

What Types of Home Care does CarePlus Scotland provide?

We provide Home Care (from half an hour upwards) which includes all Personal Care, including Showering, Toilet assistance, Dressing, Catheter care/Commode, Assistance with Medication, preparing meals.

Our Carers are fully trained in the use of mobility aids and hoists.

CarePlus Scotland provides access to a Registered Nurse 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.  We provide qualified and Registered Nursing Care Support and regular assessments at no extra cost to our service users.

With access to a four-wheel drive services, CarePlus Scotland can provide a reliable service in bad weather conditions.  We can also provide Emergency food and Heating supplies.  So if you need Home Care services in Fife and the surrounding areas of Scotland, whether you are in a town or a rural area, CarePlus Scotland can reach you.

Does CarePlus Scotland Provide Respite Care?

Yes.  We can provide respite care from a couple of hours to overnight care or weeks / long-term care.

I live in a rural area.  Can CarePlus Scotland help?

Yes.  CarePlus Scotland welcomes users in rural areas.  We understand the needs of rural users and their sometimes specialist requirements due to their location.  We have a four-wheel drive service to provide reliability in the worst of weather (and for the worst of farm tracks!).

We can also provide Emergency food and Heating supplies.

What type of staff do you employ?

CarePlus Scotland ensures that all our staff are fully checked (PVG) and trained.  We provide high quality, gentle staff, who provide Home Care services.

In addition, our Nursing Care Support staff are an integral part of our Home Care service teams.  CarePlus Scotland is an innovative nurse-led home care and support agency and we aim to provide exceptionally high standards of care.  One of our chief aims is the avoidance of unnecessary hospital admissions for people with non-acute conditions, which may be treated at home in conjunction with their General Practitioner. This can be done via regular non-invasive diagnostic testing through our nursing staff.  Regular assessments by our qualified and Registered Nursing Care Support are carried out at no extra cost to our service users.

Our nurses and carers seek to do the very best job they can for their patients, whilst caring for a patient in their own home. Our values are based on independent living and safety models, which help us to promote the rights of people to remain in their own homes for as long as they wish or are capable of doing so. We promote social inclusion and interaction through supported activities, and believe in supporting the client’s chosen lifestyle without judgement.

What Additional Services does CarePlus Scotland offer?

Some of the additional services that we can provide include:

  • Alternative therapies for our patients through our qualified and registered Aromatherapists /Homeopaths as an integrated part of regular personal care.
  • Transport and/or accompaniment to and from Appointments/Social Events/ Days Out.
  • Overnight companion care.
  • Fully trained and checked Domestic help is available, also bulk food preparation and freezing in individual meals as required.
  • Pharmacy collections / Shopping.

CarePlus Scotland currently covers Fife and surrounding areas.  Please get in touch to see if we are able to provide you with Home Care support.  We will be expanding to provide Home Care services in other parts of Scotland and therefore please get in touch if you would like to check if we provide services in your part of Scotland.
